I was able to pinpoint <a href="https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Blue+Mesa+Reservoir,+Gunnison,+CO&hl=en&sll=42.352711,-83.099205&sspn=0.359771,0.727158&oq=blue+mesa&t=h&hnear=Blue+Mesa+Reservoir&z=12" target="_blank">exactly where it is</a>: </span><span>the Blue Mesa Reservoir in Gunnison, Colorado. Pearson Point grows into the clouds while the frozen Gunnison River sits at the base.  There’s a bridge where US 50 crosses over the river.
